Dear artists,
We are excited to invite submissions for "Broken Pieces, New Beginnings – A Focus on Mosaics", a unique exhibition shining a light on the powerful art of mosaic, taking place in August 2025.
Thanks to the support of the New Zealand Mosaic Association (NZMA), this four-week exhibition will celebrate the diversity and innovation within mosaic-based practices. From traditional techniques to contemporary mixed media expressions, this show will explore the many ways artists transform fragments into compelling works of art.
Commission on art sales will incur 30%.

Traditional Techniques – Inspired by Roman and Byzantine mosaic styles

Recycled Art – Repurposing found or broken objects into new designs

Abstract & Figurative – From patterns to portraits and landscapes

Interactive & 3D Works – Tactile mosaics and sculptural pieces

Mixed Media Approaches – Combining ceramics, glass, textiles, metal, and more

Opportunities:
We welcome artists who work in any mosaic-type medium, including glass, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, metal, found objects, and more.

Both small- and large-scale works will be considered.

Joint or group entries are welcome (please include all participating artists in the application).

Selected artists may also be invited to tutor workshops or take part in the artist talk and event programme during the exhibition.
