Always a highlight on the calendar our Members Merit Award is a brilliant celebration of the talented EAC members.

In “Light, Place and Memory”, artist Tim Houghton explores the colours and vibrancy of the world’s cultures and peoples. This exhibition features watercolour and acrylic paintings that invite viewers to slow down and reflect on the quiet beauty of our world and the visual experiences so often found in unexpected places.

Expect a fun-filled display of paintings, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and more, all capturing the unique personalities, charm, and antics of our beloved four-legged companions.

From the first tentative stitch in 2015 to the layered surfaces on view now, these works map a quiet apprenticeship. Quilts made over the years taught me that beauty is built slowly, one piece at a time. A 2022 course in oil painting taught me to see myself as a painter as well as a maker.
