A Nurture Early Learning Exhibition - Languages in Clay invite you to slow down and walk into children's thinking. Over time, children retuned to clay with curiosity and persistence, revealing the transformation of both clay and thinking through time.

From the first tentative stitch in 2015 to the layered surfaces on view now, these works map a quiet apprenticeship. Quilts made over the years taught me that beauty is built slowly, one piece at a time. A 2022 course in oil painting taught me to see myself as a painter as well as a maker.

Between Hibiscus Flowers is an artist’s tribute to her young adulthood. This exhibition collection is a celebration and closing of a long and bountiful era on the Hibiscus Coast. Between Hibiscus Flowers is inspired by the experiences, feelings and musings of ‘growing up’. Filled with exploration, overseas travel, dreamy landscapes and expressive techniques, Emmeline's works are created from memories, imagination and nostalgia. Within these works ideas of reciprocity and connection shines through. The collection is a sum of all the joy and meaning Emmeline has enjoyed and created while being raised on the Hibiscus Coast. Each is a snapshot, a landscape often with people, which draws you into a moment in time. Joyous and dreamy, the paintings invite you to explore feelings of reminiscence and contentment.

Submitted artworks must incorporate recycled, reclaimed, repurposed, or otherwise sustainable materials as a significant part of the work. We welcome diverse interpretations of the theme across all visual art disciplines.

False Positives is an exhibition that explores the language of modern blood testing through painting. The paintings borrow their forms from the microscopic world of blood tests: floating cells, molecular traces, and abstract biological systems. These elements are enlarged, distorted, and reimagined through paint, creating emotional cartographies that exist between diagnosis and intuition.
