Class Description

In this beginners and intermediate class you will learn the basics of throwing clay on the wheel with our highly qualified tutor Sylvia Sinel. Sylvia will take you through the basics of throwing clay on the wheel. You will learn about the different clay types and what you can do with them. Intermediate potters will develop their skills further and keep learning new pottery techniques. This course covers all the basic essentials regarding wheel work, e.g., How to wedge your clay and prepare it for throwing on the wheel; How to center your clay on the wheel; How to make bowls, cups and cylinders and other items How to trim your leather hard items.; How to prepare your items for bisque firing; How to glaze and decorate your bisque items is also covered in this course and much more. You will take home your own unique items which you can gift to family and friends. Cost Breakdown Member: $287.38 Incl.
