Class Description

Drawing is your thing and you are passionate about comics, books and characters? Would you like to find your unique style and learn new tricks to enhance your design? Then come and join our Illustration Crew! Our illustration class is your launchpad to visual storytelling! We'll focus on character design, graphic novel layouts, and techniques to make your illustrations shine. Perfect for anyone wanting to create graphic novels and boost their drawing skills! This is a project designed to support teens in developing their unique style. From learning the basics of character drawing, shapes and silhouettes and then through a series of fun and challenging exercises we will explore composition and storytelling techniques. We will review books and comics and learn a drawing journaling routine. The class is run for kids interested in all different techniques, from pencils to watercolours and digital art. This is not just a class but a sharing space designed to build meaningful connections, strengthen their artistic skills and develop confidence in their personal artistic voice. 🧒 Ages 11+ 🎨 All materials provided 👩‍🎨 Led by an experienced art tutor & artist; Sarah - Jane Smith What to Bring: 🥪 Water bottle and a snack 👕 Kids should wear old clothes—we get messy when we’re having fun! Additional Info: 🔹 All staff are police-vetted for your peace of mind. 🔹 Parents are not allowed in the classroom once the workshop begins. If your child needs a little encouragement, feel free to stay on-site. 🔹Shoes must be worn during the class 🔹Workshop timings: Classes begin promptly at 3:45 pm and conclude at 5:15 pm. Please ensure timely drop-off and pick-up, as our studios operate back-to-back sessions.
