Class Description

8 weeks Afterschool Clay Hand Sculpting Techniques Club for Teens with Ara Bosch. Discover the art of clay sculpting in this fun and creative term class designed especially for teens! Guided by our experienced tutor, Ara, you’ll explore a variety of hand-building techniques and bring your own ideas to life through exciting clay projects. Whether you’re new to clay or already have some experience, this class will inspire you to challenge yourself and develop new skills. From learning the fundamentals to experimenting with design, texture, and form, you’ll create unique pieces that reflect your creativity. For those who are curious to try something new, there may also be opportunities for a “have-a-go” session on the pottery wheel – perfect for anyone keen to get a little messy and discover the thrill of wheel throwing! All firing and glazing costs are included for up to five standard-sized pieces per term, with the option to purchase additional firings if needed. Join us for a hands-on, supportive, and inspiring clay journey – and see just what you can create! 🧒 Ages 11+ 🎨 All materials provided 👩‍🎨 Led by an experienced art tutor Ara Bosch What to Bring: 🥪 Water bottle and a snack 👕 Kids should wear old clothes—we get messy when we’re having fun! Additional Info: 🔹 All staff are police-vetted for your peace of mind. 🔹 Parents are not allowed in the classroom once the workshop begins. If your child needs a little encouragement, feel free to stay on-site. 🔹Shoes must be worn during the class 🔹Workshop timings: Classes begin promptly at 3:45 pm and conclude at 5:15 pm. Please ensure timely drop-off and pick-up, as our studios operate back-to-back sessions.
