Class Description

Teen Pottery Workshop: Halloween-Inspired Lolly Bowl Making Get into the spooky spirit and get your hands dirty in this fun, Halloween-themed pottery workshop designed for teens! Guided by experienced ceramic artist Sylvia Sinel, participants will learn the basics of hand-building and get a taste of wheel-throwing as they create their very own Halloween-inspired lolly bowl—perfect for holding treats or as a festive décor piece. Teens will begin by sketching a spooky or fun design, then bring it to life using clay techniques, adding unique details, textures, and decorations. No prior pottery experience is needed—just your imagination! By the end of this four-hour session, each teen will have crafted a one-of-a-kind ceramic Halloween bowl to treasure (or fill with candy!) for years to come. Workshop includes one bowl fired and glazed per student. 🧒 Ages 11+ 🎨 All materials provided 👩‍🎨 Led by our local artist Sylvia Sinel What to Bring: 🍱 Water bottle and a lunchbox. 👕 Kids should wear old clothes—we get messy when we’re having fun! Additional Info: 🔹 All staff are police-vetted for your peace of mind. 🔹 Parents are not allowed in the classroom once the workshop begins. If your child needs a little encouragement, feel free to stay on-site. We have comfortable seating in the foyer and the Driftwood Café is conveniently located in the building.
