A Woman in the Moment by Ad Tacken
Gallery Two:
Tuesday 04 March to Sunday 30 March 2025 at 2pm
Ad Tacken is a retired professional Interior Designer known for his contributions to Design in New Zealand, with a career spanning over two decades. Ad has now refocused on his original training as a sculptor in the Netherlands. His focus in recent years has been to study the female form in all its movements and expressions.
Various cultures have been expressed in the figurine’s form and postures. I have been inspired by Balinese, Pacific Island and Roman culture.
Using clay, I am pushing the limits on this material to express the emotion or mood desired in each individual work.
